Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Buldana-I has organised "Kisan Mahila Diwas" on 15th October, 2018 at Sonala village of Sangrapur Tahsil. Main objective of this programme was to increase active participation of farm women in agriculture and allied sectors. Dr. Swatitai wakekar, Director, Host Institute was chief guest of this programme. Sau. Kalpanatai Shegokar, Sarpanch, Sonala village, Miss. Rashmi Ghatol, CMRC Manager, Mr. Anil Gabhane, I/c. Sr. Scientist and Head, KVK, Mr. Nitin Talokar, Scientist (Agril. Engg.) Mrs. Sangita Datar and Mrs. Sangita Hage were also present for said programme.
Mr. Anil Gabhane gave information about organic farming and its benefits. Mr. Nitin Talokar delivered lecture on dal milling and entrepreneurship development for SHGs. Miss. Rashmi Ghatol focused on entrepreneurship development through SHGs and Miss. Jyoti Bobde given emphasis on development, awareness and extensive use of farm women friendly and drudgery reducing technologies and implements to empower themselves and ensure their nutritional security. During this programme display of drudgery reduction tools, implements were arranged. About 105 farm women participated in this programme.
Celebration of Agriculture Technology Week - Sitafal Mahotsav
KVK has inaugurated Agriculture Technology Week on 20th November 2019 at KVK by Hon.K.G.Ingle, Chairman of Host institute, Mr. Dipak Patel, SDAO and Mr. Eknath Aage, Vice-President of Sitafal Utpadak Sangh Pune were chief guest. Dr.Ujjwal Raut, Dept. of Hort. Dr. PDKV Akola were resource person to guide the custard apple growers in detail. The main objective of Sitafal Mahotsav is to create awareness about dryland horticulture among farmers ib Buldana district. Programme was started with inauguration of varietal exhibition of Custard Apple. At the outset Mr. Vikas Jadhao, Head KVK briefed about the organizing technology week every year by KVK with history of custard apple in Maharashtra. Mr. Dipak Patel focused on various schemes available with Govt. for orchard crops while Mr.Eknath Aage shared their views regarding marketing policy of custard apple. From presidential chair Mr. K.G.Ingle guided the participants and urged to adhere with this sustainable remunerative crop to develop a bigger cluster of custard apple growers in district. The programme was anchored by Mr. Shashank Date, SMS Horticulture.
