KVK Buldana-I has organized District Level Agriculture Exhibition SATPUDA - 2020 during 19-20 Januray 2020 at KVK campus in collaboration with host institute Satpuda Education Society Jalgaon Jamod. Main objective of this exhibition was to create awareness about new agriculture technologies among farming community. Exhibition has Fruits & Vegetable exhibition.
Exhibition was inaugurated at the hands of Hon. Krishnaroji Ingle, President Satpuda Education Society, Sau. Manisha Pawar, President, Z.P. Buldana, Mr. Shivaji Magar, Taluka Magistrate, Mr. Narendra Naik, SAO Buldana, Dr. Sau. Swatitai Wakekar, President Mahasiddha Urban, Jalgaon Jamod and Mr. Vikas Jadhao, Sr. Scientist & Head KVK were chief guest of this programme. Mr. Anil Gabhane, SMS Plant Protection has given brief information about the organization of District Level Agriculture Exhibition and appealed farmers to take advantage of this exhibition.
Sau. Manisha Pawar appealed farmers to take advantage of new emerging technologies in agriculture, also be ready to accept challenges in agriculture. Mr Narendra Naik explained various schemes of agriculture department and advised them to take advantage of these schemes. Dr. Swati Wakekar appealed farm women to start subsidiary business by forming self help groups.
In presidential speech Hon, Krushnaraoji Ingle explained farmers about dryland horticulture, mechanization, low cost agriculture technologies and urged farmers to take advantage of this exhibition to improve their farming practices. All dignitaries appreciated KVK for organization of Agriculture Exhibition in such a remote area and assured that this event will be helpful for farmers in this area.
This exhibition has 110 stalls of KVK, Buldana-I, Dr. PDKV, Akola, State Agriculture Dept, Dairy Development Dept., RCF, private companies of seed, pesticides, fertilizers, tractor & equipments along-with SHG stalls. During this we have also arranged fruits & vegetable exhibition, in these exhibition farmers from Buldana district have brought their samples for participation. About 40 farmers exhibits their 125 samples of fruits and vegetables.
On 20th January prize distribution and concluding ceremony was organized in presence of Hon. Krushnaraoji Ingle, President Satpuda Education Society. Category-wise prizes were given for the first three best stalls, fruits, vegetables.
